Personal Injury

The General Damages for pain suffering and loss of amenity do not reflect the actual loss of functioning caused by injury, nor do they take into account the age or the number of years the victim must suffer from the effects of the injury. When an injury has been sustained before the claimant has made their life choices speculative losses should take into account and compensate for loss of that choice. When making provision for past and future care it is unfair and unjust to cost family care at way below that of agency care.

This discussion is for all suggestions which do not fit into one of the other discussion areas, such as the law relating to personal injury and privacy. So far, participants have discussed repealing the Easter Act 1928, and automation of repeal process for unimplemented statutes (see archive thread).

What do you think of these subjects? Do you have others that you want to discuss? Feel free to comment below.

In formulating a suggestion please take into account the following criteria:

•Importance
•Suitability
•Resources
