Welcome to the online consultation forum for the Law Commission's Tenth Programme of Law Reform.
The Law Commission was established to keep the law of England and Wales under review with a view to its systematic development and reform. Our aim is to achieve more accessible, intelligible and modern law.
Consultation for the Law Commission’s Tenth Programme of Law Reform closed on the 30 March 2007.
Responses received via the forum will now be analysed alongside responses received through all other mediums. The Tenth Programme is due to commence in April 2008. We would like to thank all those who participated in the pilot web forum.

This forum was part of a series of pilot exercises that are being run and evaluated by the independent, non-partisan charity, the Hansard Society. They are interested in your experience of using this forum.
For this reason, we shall be grateful if you will complete a start of consultation survey when you start using the site and an evaluation survey at the end (you need to be logged in to do both).
The surveys will help it to evaluate online mechanisms for policy discussion and will be used to make recommendations to government departments and politicians on how better to connect with the public.
